After Kickass Torrent and Torrentz were shut down ‘not so recently’. It has become really difficult to find reliable torrents that are still functional. All the sites listing the top torrenting websites for movies are outdated and people like me whose lifeblood depends on torrents have no way to know where I can search for a torrent if I could not find it on 1337x.to. (If you are already judging, I am an Indian blogger, I do not make $150,000 a year so I like to save where I can by opting to not pay when I don’t have to. And I think there’s nothing wrong with that). So coming back to the topic. Here are the top 10 best torrenting sites for movies
1. 1337x
This is the best surviving torrenting site hands down and there’s no doubt what so ever about that. You can find pretty much any torrent on 1337x, if you don’t , scavenge through the rest of these sites and hope that you do.
2. ExtraTorrent
It’s pretty darn simple and it works! What else can you ask for?
Obvious advice for torrenting newbies, Don’t click the large and flashy buttons like this one-

3. The Pirate Bay
You probably already know about this, just writing because this has to be a list of 10 sites ;). This is the most extensive torrenting site. So if you can not find a movie torrent on TPB, it’s likely that the torrent does not exist on the internet.
Amazing Facts: TBP has been up and down and back up again. So based on when you read this it may not be live or working. But as of today, it is live and the link I have shared is working!
4. RARBG
I could not find the 2 of 5 popular torrents today (Moana, Sully, Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Suicide Squad), so it would not be my top choice for torrenting sites for movies. But it has some pretty neat collection of xxx torrents stacked on the home page. Yeah, you are welcome.
5. TorrentDownloads
This is a new torrenting site, and because it is relatively new and less popular it’s clutter free with no yucky ads and popups, it’s truly delightful. The only reason it’s this far down this list is because it’s repository is way smaller than the likes of Pirates Bay and ExtraTorrent
6. YourBitTorrent
Ok, this is yet another torrenting site that works. It has those ‘provocative’ ads on top and in the sidebar. There are no redirects and popups, nothing too fancy.
7. TorrentProject
This is the cleanest torrenting site, serves only and only torrents. It’s so clean that If I changed the colors you’d confuse it for HackerNews. Don’t believe me? Go check yourself!.
8. TorLock
This is a really special torrenting site. If you are already thinking- What can be so special about a torrenting site
What is your biggest worry with downloading torrents?
Wasting your precious time and MBs on fake dubious files right? Or even worse virus loaded files. TorLock actually pays it’s users to spot fake torrents and report to the community. So no more fake torrents. Plus you can even make some extra cash if you are lucky!
Full Disclosure: I could not find any more popular torrenting sites that are still working, but this is not Top 7 guy- so the list has to be Top 10. 9. 123Movies (The Free Netflix)
Yes, you read that right! This is the free Netflix where you can watch latest full-length movies without any ads, prompts, logins etc.. etc. No bullshit! Just movies. The only reason why I think it’s still working is because not many people know about it. Go check it out. Don’t share with friends! 10. bia2dl.xyz
This is the link to a server directory on the Arabian movie listing website bia2movies1.in. Don’t already freak out! This directory has all the popular movies and almost every TV series you might want to watch from Friends to Suits. And even the ones like Boy Meets World from the 90s. Best part- direct download, no magnets, torrent files or Utorrent involved. There’s no search available on this server so you’ll have to browse but that’s easy. But the speed can be a bit irregular but generally, it works fine.
In Conclusion
If you still can not find the torrent that you are looking for in any of these 10 websites there’s only one person who can help you- Rajnikant. And if you don’t know who he is – then it’s Chuck Norris for you.
How I verified the sites in this list: I tried finding the torrent for ‘Fantastic Beasts’ (which is a popular recent release). An ideal test for torrenting sites that still work.
Additional tips
If you see this notice ‘Your requested URL has been blocked as per the directions received from Department of Telecommunications,Government of India.‘ or anything else like this, i.e. if these sites are banned/blocked by the government in your country, just install Browsec (it’s a free chrome extension that lets you browse from countries across the globe by using it’s VPN based proxy service).
